The latest CCG Stakeholder Forum was held in Heyn Hall, St Mark’s Church on Friday 18th February and was one of the best attended forums to date.

Wendy Langham, Programme Manager provided a project update and Sean Brannigan, Community Engagement Officer, outlined key community engagement which has been taking place throughout the last three months.

At this forum attendees had the opportunity to meet representatives from Connswater JV (a joint venture between SIAC (NI) Ltd and Galliford Try), the Connswater Community Greenway’s appointed contractor.

Continuing on with the tradition of holding each Stakeholder Forum on a particular theme, this forum focused on walkability and attendees were encouraged to walk to the meeting if possible. Mick Donnelly from the PARC study informed attendees of the work he has been doing in developing a GIS based model which will measure and monitor the changes in the built environment as a result of the CCG. He also highlighted the improvement of access to facilities and the improved walkability of the area as a result of the project.
